The Women Leaders Network
Building a unified global network of women leaders bringing transformational impact to their churches, workplaces, families, and local communities.
About Women Leaders Network
To be a unified global network of women leaders bringing transformational impact to their churches and local communities.
We see a global movement where:
- Women understand their true worth in Christ. (1 John 3:1)
- Women encourage one another forward (1 Thes 5:11)
- Women sit equally with men at the leadership table. (Galatians 3:28)
- Women stand alongside the next generation. (Prov 22:6)
- Women come together and await the move of the Spirit of the living God. (Acts 1:8)
- Women stand with one spirit and one purpose, for the sake of the Gospel. (Phil 1:27)
To create a movement that will identify, empower, equip and release women in leadership across all sectors.
- To identify women leaders, in all sectors, around the globe
- To empower women leaders by creating opportunity for connection and relationship so they can be encouraged, strengthened, and networked together
- To equip women leaders with resourcing, training, coaching and mentoring
- To release women leaders to use their leadership gifts, to work well alongside men, and to use their voices to transform their churches and local communities
In 2019, God gave Karen Wilson, Vice President International Ministries, Global Leadership Network, a clear and compelling vision of His heart for women in leadership. This vision included women of all cultures and generations standing alongside one another all around the coasts of every country in the world. Together, they stand confident, strong, brave and united and ready for what He is calling them to do.
The Global Leadership Network has wholeheartedly embraced this vision and launched the Women Leaders Network. Through the GLN, the Women Leaders Network is creating space for women leaders to gather, to hear the voice of God, to grow together and to spur one another on in leadership. Though we are more globally connected than any other time in history, in many ways we are still isolated from each other. And, in many nations, women are still a “silent voice”.The WLN is a global movement with a growing belief that this network is forming for “such a time as this”.
Across the world men and women leaders are excited for this network and God has begun His work of forming a great global movement! We believe that this movement will raise up women leaders to fully use their gifts, working well with and alongside men, and transform their communities and the world.
The WLN stands uniquely positioned.
- We are part of the Global Leadership Network.
- We are faith based.
- We provide free access to world class leadership content through the GLN.
- We have global reach and connection (across diverse cultures and populations).
- We empower local women leaders (in all sectors).
- We are contextualized to each local setting.
- We support, train and coach cohorts.
- We exist in small cohorts, to foster relationship and connection.
Women bring great strength when they are mobilised as a force for good to bring transformational change to their local and national communities.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is a Women Leaders Network (WLN) Cohort?
A cohort is a group of women leaders who commit to meeting regularly for the purpose of identifying, empowering, equipping and releasing each other in leadership. Using GLS videos, the cohort will learn and discuss leadership principles together, while developing relationships and building a support network.
How often do cohorts meet?
This is at the discretion of each leader and the needs of their group. The WLN recommends at least 6 times per year.
Can Cohorts meet online or in person?
Cohorts can meet either online or in person, or a combination of both.
Who qualifies to participate in a cohort?
All cohort members need to hold a leadership position in business, non profit, church or other sector. Cohorts are specifically designed for women leaders, distinguishing itself from women’s ministries or women’s small groups.
How is this associated with the Global Leadership Network (GLN)?
The WLN is an initiative of the GLN. All content used in WLN cohorts are talks that the GLN has presented at the Global Leadership Summit each year. The WLN encourages each cohort to attend the annual Global Leadership Summit together in their local communities, as a way to boost leadership development, connection and relationship.
What topics are discussed in the WLN cohorts?
A collection of 25 to 30 GLN videos are provided for WLN cohort use. Cohort leaders are able to choose from these videos and determine the order and type of content they would like to present in their cohort. Each video also has accompanying discussion questions for use during each cohort meeting.
What does the WLN/GLN Provide?
- GLS leadership content (videos, podcasts, etc) from women and men around the globe that have spoken at the GLS over the last number of years. These resources have been specifically chosen for women in leadership and are accessible to the cohort at any time and can be used to address current needs and issues of the group and to encourage women in their calling and leadership.
- Every cohort leader will have regular coaching meetings with WLN staff to assist in the formation and implementation of their cohort.
- Access to the global community of women leaders
- Connection to GLN resources and the annual Global Leadership Summit
